CLAT examination, also known as Common Law Admission Test, supported by the Bar council of India, is the entrance examination for law aspirants in India. The tentative important dates for CLAT that one should be following in case that they are interested to appear for it, are:
- Issue of admission notice
- Submission of online form
- Last date of submission of application
- Downloading of admission card
- The date of the exam

Preparing for this entrance exam would not be very hard if few important points are kept in mind, like daily updating of current affairs, G.K, English newspapers and basic Civics.
Eligibility:
The eligibility criteria for the candidates who are doing CLAT 2016 Preparation are that they should be below 20 years of age as on 1st July 2016 (22 years for SC or ST or PWD candidates). The educational criteria should be 10+2 with minimum marks of 45% for candidates of General, OBC or PWD categories and 40% in cases of ST or SC category. There is a total marks of 200 offered for the examination. All are multiple choice question of one mark each. The duration of examination is for 2 hours and the subjects that are tested are English including comprehension for 40 marks, General Knowledge and Current Affairs for 50 marks, Elementary Mathematics for 20 marks, Legal Aptitude for 50 marks and Logical Reasoning for 40 marks. In case of any wrong answer there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
