BHU Law Entrance Exam allowing many candidates to choose law as their career each year
Most people in their final year of high school have already decided what to do ahead. Most of them have even started with the preparation of their respective entrance examinations. For the people aspiring for law as their career preparing for CLAT 2016 is the main criteria right now.
An overview of CLAT:
With the en number of study centres arising all over India and providing their help in guiding the students cracking CLAT even seems a bit easier than it used to be. An excessive number of good CLAT Study Material is also available throughout the internet and in form of hard copy. Law aspiring students definitely have a hand on idea about the CLAT examination, its eligibility criteria, marking system and the rules and regulations. CLAT is basically accepted by about 15 national colleges in India. If one would like to keep all their options open then there are other autonomous bodies too which teach law and have good valuation degree. Like the Delhi University, The Banaras Hindu University the Jindal Global Law School, etc.
Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility criteria, for sitting for the BHU Law Entrance Exam is very simple. The registration has to be done online. The maximum age limit cannot cross 30 years of age; the students must hold a graduate degree of 10+2+3 years with not less than 50% of marks.
The Examinatioin:
The candidates will be given a choice of selecting between English set of questions and Hindi set of questions. A set of 150 multiple choice questions would be provided. A candidate would be awarded 3 marks for the correct answers and a negative marking of 1 mark would be done in case of incorrect answer. A question marked with two answers would be considered incorrect. The subjects to be considered in this test are-
- General Awareness and current affairs,
- Common legal knowledge and
- Aptitude and logical ability.
Various test centres are allocated over Varanasi, Mirzapur, Lucknow, Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Gorakhpur, depending upon the number of candidates that have applied from that particular region. When considering an option in law, then knowledge on all the aspects would be nothing extra but a blessing.
